Bermuda Stills Explained: Part II of Silent Sunday

In 1987 my husband and I honeymooned on the island of Bermuda. Since then, we’ve been back twice more, once with our three sons and once by ourselves. The island holds a special place in our hearts.
Bermuda is known for pink sand beaches and Horseshoe Bay Beach in Southhampton does not disappoint. Turquoise waters are radiant against the pink sandy shore. The above photo is a repeat of one I took in 2007. You’ll see that further on in the post. Horseshoe Bay Beach is a wide crescent-shaped beach that is popular with the locals, as well as the tourists. It’s located in Southhampton Parish.
Tobacco Bay Beach is on the other end of the island of Bermuda. We visited here in 1987 and 2017 but not in 2007 when our boys were with us. The reason? We went in July and August, prime beach weather, except for 2007 when we went in March (it was cold). Bermuda is not in the Caribbean. It is offshore from Cape Hatteras, North Carolina by about 650 miles, in the model of the mid-Atlantic Ocean. March is…
