Discouraging at best. That said, I self published a paperback poetry book on KDP. It was a good experience- no, it hasn't flown off the shelves but I have a book in print! And, I'm preparing to do it again. I might look more carefully at pricing but it takes work to self publish and I can't give that work away. Thanks for you insight.
