I love that Hawaii does not supply disposalable bags anymore. We were on Maui in January and I forgot about this until you mentioned it. New York State does not supply them either. For some reason I was caught off guard in New York while visitng my parents but not Hawaii. As an environmental educator I think its important to try and reduce our waste. We brought reusable water bottles to the beach in HI instead of buying plastic throw away ones from the grocery store. It was a good move - an easily done - just don't fill it up until you're through security!
