It is a problem that I've been aware of for a while.

This shockingly is true for the top tourist-destination cities of the world. Venice, Barcelona, Prague, Bali, and Phuket, all super-aesthetic, pleasantly beautiful cities popping up on our Instagram feed; yet all hide a deeper and darker secret of over-tourism and consequential crisis beneath the tourist smiles.
