…ate quicker, drying vegetation, and then dumping out rainfall in ever more extreme rainfall events. I’ve been writing — and saying in my own talks — for a while, that “we are increasingly lurching between drought and flood”. But perhaps we need to add a third stage into that: “drought, wildfire, then flood”.
