For over five years, I’ve run a Sunday blog post that consists of only my own photos. It was a chance to take a break from words and show another hobby I have — of photography.

On my personal blog, The Apples in My Orchard, Silent Sunday has become a popular post for my readers. I pick a theme, review my photos, and post 10–15 of those photos for visual enjoyment by those who visit my blog.

Now that I’m writing daily on Medium. com. I’ve added a contextual component to my Silent Sunday posts. The photo-only posts will continue on WordPress — for I have almost 1,000 regular readers there that have come to expect this Sunday treat. But, I’ll explain the photos I chose and how they relate to the week’s theme.

This week, I chose The Four Seasons — in Photos.

Fall is a beautiful time in Wisconsin. We’ve owned a cabin since 2005 in the Northwoods that became our permanent residence this year. In truth, it’s always been a four-season home, but we’ve never lived there full-time — until now.
