Spring is a Time for Organizing

Before the warm weather draws us outside for projects and yard work, now is the time to get organized — inside.

Do you have a ritual in the spring for cleaning out? I’ve never really done this with the intention it deserves but this year, I’m thinking of it differently.

Last year we had the largest cleanout of our lives because we moved! Sixteen years we spent in the same house, which included a large barn as my husband’s woodshop. Over those years, things got stored and forgotten.

Forgotten until I had to clean everything out of every closet, nook, cranny, and cupboard in the whole house — all 3,600 square feet of it! Yikes!

With the help of FaceBook Market Place, a consignment store, a reuse-it donation store, and a huge garage sale we were successful in our clean-out last year.

Now, What Do I Have to Clean Out?

This year, I feel the need to clean out, even though we have less to get rid of. We are working on becoming more organized in our cabin — where we chose to move to.
