The Pros and Cons of a Hummer Tour of Joshua Tree National Park

Seeing this park was a treat for me in 2018, and while there are a number of ways to do it, I decided on a Hummer Tour.

There are many ways to visit national parks. Most of the time my husband and I drive and then hike. Rarely have we even taken a tour. But, my visit to Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California was an exception.

I was traveling with my sister to Palm Springs. She was attending a conference and I was along for the ride. We stayed at a posh resort in Rancho Mirage.

Since she was busy during the day, I needed more to do than hang out at the pool. There were just a couple of obstacles. One, we did not rent a car. We used an Uber to where we needed to go. She had experience with the Uber app and service and I did not. Still, I did not want to uber to a vast park by myself (another obstacle).

By going online, I found a Hummer tour company that went to Joshua Tree National Park and picked customers up at the resort desk for the journey. No driving was entailed. And, I wouldn’t be traveling alone.
