Yes, prices are high. Tourist spots are busy but as someone else said there are beautiful parks and locations in the US not as busy. Tipping? Sure in a restaurant, sometimes for a busy barista, but not everywhere. Yes, our infrastructure needs work but as a US citizen still living here, I think there's a fair amount of hyperbole and exaggeration in your piece. Enjoyable to read? Sure, but we have enough internal problems to solve without stirring up a pot of distaste for visiting the US. Just my opinion.
